Take plenty of rest

Take enough rest whenever possible. It will wake for a feed or change every two to three hours. When the baby sleeps you too can take some sleep. This is the best time to get some rest.

Ask for help

Many are offered help without asking when there are a newborn baby and its mom at home. But those who are not that lucky can always request for some help from the family members. Your body needs rest and healing so there is nothing wrong in it as is for the betterment of both baby and mother.

Healthy food is the way to go

Healing will take place faster if healthy food is taken. Intake of vegetables, whole grains and the like should be increased so that you do not lack in any of the nutrients especially proteins. The breastfeeding baby will also grow into a healthy person when proper nutrition is given.

Proper exercise

Postpartum you need more rest and you should not strain. Consult the doctor when and what exercise regimen to follow. You need to bring back your body to a good shape. Not exercising in a proper way may hinder this.

You will need a lot of patience in this period and take care of yourself is also equally important for you and your family. So don’t neglect yourself.
